So I was looking through the national geographic and one usually finds very inspiring and beautiful images there. Thats when I came across this image of the "Mantid". This one is a moss-patterned mantid found in the rain forest. What intrigued me at first, was the amazing art of nature. A creature used by nature or 'GOD' as a canvas, which allowed for the mantid or mantis (as it is popularly known) to camouflage itself from the ones who prey on it. I read on and found that the ancient Greeks were the ones to name this creature "mantis" which meant "prophet". I guess thats because this creature is always seen with its upper appendages folded as if in prayer.
